It is 12.21 and my last ever maths exam (ever, ever, EVER! I know!!!!) is in less than 40 minutes. My entire brain has gone into meltdown, I am questioning Pythagorus and whoever invented Parabolas and wondering how to make 'x' the subject of all equations in the universe ever.
Basically, I have Lost It. Now, at times like this, one must take deep breaths and think happy thoughts and, most importantly, not worry at all. Now, with the sheer level of stress my brain is having to cope with, this seems nigh-on impossible at a time like this. So, you ask, what do I do?
I listen to Grizzly Bear, of course. The mournful tones of Ed Droste and co slow the racing pulse and de-jitter the nerves (de-jitter? what the..?) The layers seem almost sun-drenched while simultaneously strumming the woes of a thousand heartbreaks. In short, the music is epic and far larger than life. It makes GCSEs seem insignificant when Droste wails, 'What now, what now, what now, what now...'
Thank you Grizzly Bear, for keeping my head screwed on in the worst of times.
And now I must go and face the abyss.
DIM 4LYFE.
